Bruce Wayne has made his living behind a drum kit for 51 years: rock, jazz, R&B, soul, country, Latin, the classical percussion section and the Broadway-style pit.
Bruce earned his Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance from Texas State University (then Southwest Texas State) in 1984, and has been a working professional musician ever since. He has played rock, jazz, rhythm and blues, soul, country and Latin, worked as a classical percussionist, and played Broadway-style musicals.
On the bandstand he leads his own Bat's Jazz Trio, plays withHipsonic and Jump Start, and has played in his contemporary jazz group Freefall and with Keith Fiala and Grooveskool.
He owns Music Retreat at Willow Creek, the music school in the home studio in San Marcos, where he teaches drums and percussion and Denise Wayne-Damron teaches piano, flute and voice.
